SMT Strategy

Our five step process is our way of guaranteeing that we manifest an idea into results with a method that works with order, precision, expertise and passion. By dividing our processes into strategic phases, we can ensure solid footing for our clients to measure our progress, work and outcome. This way, we can provide a map for our clients to know exactly what they are achieving through our services and products. Each step is a base camp, and the results are when we summit.

Workshops

Our innovation incubators where we focus on understanding our client’s vision and gathering key information to create the plan that will best translate a company’s values into action, and a return of investment. Our process centers around four important steps:

Empathy

A crucial first step for us is to ensure we generate empathy towards the consumer, and align interests between the whole team to reach the same goals.

Knowledge

It is important to study the landscape, make sure we identify the competition and know the market so that there can be a focus on innovation and reaching the target with as much precision as possible.

Understanding

See the big picture, so that we may best understand the company’s services and products and the sociological and technological values we can highlight, recognize and capitalize upon.

Safety

Murphy’s Law says that "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong" and though we don’t believe that, we like to recognize any potential challenge and set-back, so that we may be one step ahead and plan accordingly.

Branding.

A Brand is an identity, a community, and a statement. It defines a business by what it says and the reputation it has made. We help our customers hone their vision and position it to their target market. We have great success in the creation of brand identity -- logos, branding strategy, website, packaging and promotional campaigns. We ensure that the final outcome has a broad reach and the clearest communication so that customers are gained and kept for the long-term.

Concept Design.

There is an art in structure and in clearly communicating concepts that may otherwise seem complex. We feel the key is understanding people, exercising empathy, and using the tools at our disposal to bridge the gap between idea and experience. We consider ourselves architects of innovation, and use a variety of tools to translate our values into every aspect of what we do and what we show.

EDDS

Here we see a basic sitemap that shows how the website will be structured and why.

Wireframes.

This is the black and white layout of the platform itself with a navigable interface.

Design.

Here we include the branding into the website design as well as a special touch of pizazz.

Prototype.

Finally, the testable website that we continue to work on to ensure we don’t miss an area of opportunity.

Development.

Technology is like an instrument that needs experience to be played correctly, so we make sure that we apply a wide variety of methods to deliver the most optimal results and ensure the music comes out perfect. Our mindset is focused on solutions rather than problems using design thinking to empathize, define the problems, ideate solutions, create prototypes and test them.

Technologies & tools

We are passionate about tech, and invest in becoming fluent in a variety of different programming languages, we consider ourselves proud polyglots. We like being familiar with all the tools that allow us to do what we do, and it means appreciating them and keeping up with all the upcoming technology that we will probably fall in love with too. We already have dinner with Java and Django, have a crush on both Oracle and Codeigniter, and have been in love with Ruby on Rails for years.

We apply a Lean process to create the most value with fewer resources, while also using the Agile method of managing the design, business and engineering of information technologies with the aim of developing a new product or service in a highly flexible and interactive manner.
